Maureen Grieco
Senior Director, Principal Gifts
Maureen Grieco joined the PBS Foundation in November of 2021 as Senior Director, Principal Gifts. Based in Washington, DC, she collaborates with PBS leadership to identify and secure philanthropic commitments to support the mission of PBS and its member stations.
Maureen began her career fundraising for political candidates across the country. After a decade on the campaign trail, she transitioned to higher education working at Yale School of Medicine and MIT. At both institutions, she was involved in securing major and principal gifts during record-setting capital campaigns - $3.5 billion and $6 billion, respectively.
She combined her experiences in politics and higher education serving as the inaugural Vice President of Development at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Boston. At the Kennedy Institute, she was responsible for building a fundraising team, preparing for the museum’s opening, and identifying philanthropists interested in civic education. Before joining PBS, Maureen served as an advisor to a family foundation and individual political donors.
Maureen holds a BA in political science and journalism from Hood College.
